What We do
Salone Community Law Hub is a community‑based legal service providing free, impartial and independent support to residents facing civil and administrative legal issues. As part of the South London Community Law Network — founded by Askia Warne, pioneer of the Community Law Initiative and supported by CAD‑HR — we deliver accessible legal help in trusted community spaces.
We support individuals experiencing housing problems, welfare barriers, immigration challenges, employment issues, business incorporation needs, family law concerns and other matters affecting dignity, stability and wellbeing. Our service is language‑appropriate, culturally responsive and designed to meet people where they are.
How we work
We operate through a relational, preventative and community‑centred model. Legal problems rarely exist alone, so we work with residents from begining to end, offering continuity, early intervention and long‑term accompaniment.
Our approach includes:
- Free, independent legal support delivered without fear, stigma or institutional barriers
- Culturally and linguistically appropriate assistance
- Trusted community spaces where people feel safe and respected
- Early intervention and rights education to prevent crisis‑driven legal problems
- Collaborative working with local partners and other SLCLN hubs
We restore law as a public‑facing service grounded in dignity, accountability and solidarity.
We are currently in partnership with CAD-HR (founding partner), ABC Charitable Trust, and CEA CAPA.
